"Sky,
It is so intriguing and comforting to me to learn about your Dad through this site and youtube. It's almost like a religious experience. I was born and raised in Texas, but have always been enthralled with Appalachia. Have one side of the family tree from the region. I know what I need. A wife like Popcorn. Or even a tenth like Popcorn, and I would have it made. Egomaniacs are what have destroyed the world. Your dad epitomized the down-to-earth spirit of yesterday. Sadly, what has taken the place of him, are these self-serving "rednecks" of today.
Much has been made of the government lately. I'll tell you what the government did. It took awat the pure and gentle spirit of Mr. Sutton. God Bless."-Anonymous
"Sky,
I am so glad that you are here and trying to make money off your dad after all the years you bad mouthed him!!!!!!!!!!!"-Anonymous
"Dear Anonymous,
I can delete any of these comments I chose. I chose to post your drivel.
I can only assume that you are a parent who skipped out on paying child support for eight kids. Those are the only people left to pick on me. Oh, that and people who haven't read my book. Everyone knows I've had shit to say about my father. Duh. Come up with something new. Oh, wait, you can't. You blew your wad. Was it good for you, too?"-sky
“It isn't surprising that Popcorn has attracted so much attention. His slippery craft and his old-timey antics appeal to something in our collective past. His overalls can be seen as the blue denim flag of old pick-up trucks and cork-plugged clay jugs. His colorless hat is the nod of a gentleman, his beard the badge of a wild man. His high reedy voice carries the echoes of banjos and fiddles. His stealth and focus speak volumes for the cunning and moxie of who he is: a Smokey Mountain moonshine master.”-Me and My Likker, Sky Sutton
